Pressure leaf filters are used for separation of the bleaching earth from oil after the bleaching process. PLF’s consist of vertical vessels with filter elements mounted vertically on common outlet manifold through which oil flows out. For bottom discharge of the spent earth Bolton butterfly valves with pneumatic vibrators are used.

Horizontal leafs filters are used for separating the wax from the oil after the crystallisation. Horizontal leaf filter consist of a casing with filter elements which are mounted and move on rails. The movement is controlled hydraulically.
